LEONTINE ARVIDSSON
Leontine Arvidsson’s work stems from movements and the passing of time. Memories and impressions are capsuled deep into her artistry. In sculptures, drawings, paintings and collages, the artist forces every movement in the working process into yet another action, another change, another form. The works are traces of actions and corrections. Leontine Arvidsson received great attention with her series of sculptures made of bent rebar. They were like three dimensional drawings floating in the air. These sculptures turned into new works as the viewer walked around them and experienced them from another perspective. The artist’s choice of materials is always selected with care, and the collages and images turn into a form of memory of time and actions.
