Mikkel Carl (1976) lives and works in Sorø/Copenhagen. He has a BA in philosophy and a MFA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Recently Carl had his first solo exhibition in a public institution in Kunsthal NORD, Aalborg, and he took part in TRUST – the second iteration of Copenhagen Art Festival curated by Sonia Dermience. He has shown works at Last Resort, Copenhagen; ANNAELLEGALLERY, Stockholm; Den Frie – Centre of Contemporary Art, Copenhagen; Co2 Gallery, Turin; Ana Christea Gallery, New York; Retrospective gallery, Hudson NY, among others.
Furthermore, Mikkel Carl has curated a number of group shows including Got Tortilla with Butter on Phone.
